Questions abot a lawsuit?

My Brother in-law just received a letter that says He has to go to court on July for a car accident and We are suing. The accident happened 3 years ago and is still going on, But We never had to go to court before. Him, my sister and I got hit by a car from the back really bad while we were waiting for the green light in my bro's in law car. Last time we spoke with our Lawyer He said that the case was in litigation. Why does He have to go this time?, Does my siter and I have to go too? Do you think the case is about to close? about how much do you think they will offer. Is this normal?
Call your lawyer! I couldn't comment without seeing your paperwork.
Obviously, the insurance company is being stubborn about settling, these are all questions you need to address to your lawyer, that is what you hired him for. Yes, it is normal if the case is actually going to trial.

Answers:
He needs to call the attorney handling the case. Sometimes the client gets the notification before the attorney does. The attorney should set up a meeting with all of the parties involved for a question and answer session. This could be a pre-trial hearing. The attorney will know if everyone needs to be there or not.
