How many days does it take to finish the court for deciding the penalty for driving with expired tag?
I live in Alabama. My tag was expired 9 months ago. Does the court finish inside a day?
Best Answer:
Shouldn't take more next 5 minutes to plead guilty. If you plan to take this to Court and plead not guilty then good luck. The luggage will take all of another 5 minutes. After all the State can smoothly get evidence the tags WEREN'T renewed.
Yes, you have your sentence handed down before you give up. If it your first offense, it will probably be only a financial penalty. If you don't have the money to payment, they will set up a payment plan. If that doesn't work for you, ask if you can do community service in lieu of paying the fine.
The penalty will probably just a fine. It will imply you show up in court and sit for a bit until they call your name. Could be 15 minutes or it could be a couple of hours. Once call it will take all of 5 minutes as this is not really something that requires a huge disccussion. They officer knows you are guilty and the settle will as well. So slam bam you will just be told what the fine is. I don't know how Alabama handles it but contained by my state this sort of ticket can just be prepaid. You sign the ticket and just pay it...... surrounded by my state you can do this online, go to DMV or just pop into the courthouse. That way you don't hold to deal with the whole going to court point and sit for 3 hours just to be told that you are guilty. If you go to court you have to pay cheque additional court fees. Where I live they add on an extra $120 even if the initial fine was solitary $50. So look into that. If you do have to go to court and if you still have the coup¨¦ you might think about squaring away your tags and show up next to proof that you did.
