Is it true they are raising the driving age limit to 18 in the UK?

I've heard many rumors regarding the driving age individual increased to 18. Apparently it's going to effect those who are born in 1992.
Could some one please inform me of any changes which are in bustle or are looking to be taking place.
I cannot find a supported answer anywhere on the internet.

I got my provisional a few weeks ago and it had a booklet next to it which said this would not be the case. Apparently rumours about this occur every year but such legislation would pinch time to pass and everyone would need to be informed.
