No its a short career anyway for most people except those who carry out sports which do not require you to be an athlete
such as shooting or bowling.
Many athletes earn very little relying upon sponsorship with sports manufacturer or make money on TV appearances, and these are normally the ones who get a gold ingots medal.
The ones who practice for years and years but fail to get any pendant may be lucky to receive free kit from a sympathetic employer.
Dont forget many only bring one chance possibly two as it happens only every 4 years and the rules almost not being a "professional" mean they are forced to support themselves with deeply little reward.
No. no.....if somone is say 50 and can run faster then the others competing then i would want him on my troop......plus they have to qualify so you will know that they can acually compete with everyone else
