If you have reach the age to qualify for Social Security,and are otherwise eligible, you can collect it under any circumstances. What you do or your income does not affect collecting it. If you have not yet reach qualifying age, then providing for your parents does not allow you to collect it.

I guess not in north america, you should own a valid reason of not doing you job for example. you can receive social security assistance if you get laid off from work or got fired.
