Do you want marijuana to be legalized?

I don't, it's not THAT expensive right now. About 15$ a gram here, and it's not even moderately hard to not get busted for. It's also natural as hell to get a hold of, the only people I see wanting it legalized are little kids who don't know how to capture it and have never even tried it before.
Best Answer:
yes and why reimburse it all it grows like a weed.
No - people are stupid enough short making it legal for them to kill their brain cells!
Yes. Legalization would shut down the black open market and make the streets safer. Also, the government could control it, tax it, and turn a profit. This might abet us get out of the recession we are currently experiencing. Also, as a frequent marijuana smoker, I know the side effects. It doesn't kill your brain cells, specifically a myth. It does not cause cancer. It is used by cancer patients in California. It makes you touch good, so for the straight edge people who enjoy never even tried it, don't ramble on about how bad it is because you don't know what you're talking going on for.
The majority of those who want it legalized are pot-smoking slackers. Heavens no, we don't need more slackers within society, we already have too many as it is. Even those who smoke it recreationally exhibit the typical loss of motivation and paranoia that seems to come from partaking of cannabis more than every once contained by a while.
I don't smoke, but I absolutely chew over it should be legalized. It makes absolutely no sense that pot is illegal while alcohol and tobacco (both of which are MORE adverse and MORE addictive) are legal. Legalization would: - Create thousands of jobs - Deal a huge blow to criminal networks, which would suddenly be without a HUGE source of income - Provide an mammoth windfall for the government, which would bring in billions in taxes (ending Prohibition played a big quantity in getting the U.S. out of the Great Depression) - Allow police, courts and prisons to focus their resources on REAL criminals.
no there are adequate lazy and stupid people in this country already
Yes, but I don't smoke it anymore. It's none of the government's business if I choose to partake, even if it's bad for me. John Stuart Mill said it best: "The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent spoil to others. His own good, either physical or moral, is not sufficient warrant. "
I don't chew over legalisation would be a good thing, but it would be better than prohibition. Prohibition makes it profitable for criminal gang, and I think a law that causes so much trouble, is unenforceable and disregarded by various - just causes more people to disrespect the law. Its just not worth it. BTW I'm a former big pot smoker. People who say its not addictive are kidding themselves. I doubt I'd hold been able to quit if it was available at the corner store.
I have a 158 IQ. I smoke pot on a on a daily basis basis. I'm smarter than every person on here who will ignorantly tell you that pot make you stupid. I served in the military (USMC) for 1 tour, so I'm obviously civic minded and not lazy (I didn't smoke while I be in, it's not allowed). I've never commited any violent crimes (I shoplifted as a kid, mostly penny candy, but I didn't smoke at that time). How many other unaware myths do I need to disprove? If it was legalized we could tax it and net BILLIONS in taxes. California has predicted that they alone would make billions past its sell-by date of marijuana by themselves. If every state legalized it the federal government would be rolling in the green. Kids can get pot easier than alcohol. If it be legalized it would be more challenging for them to get a hold of. If it were regulated approaching alcohol, kids would need to get an adult to buy it for them, a short time ago like alcohol. Some would still get it, but those are the same kids who already smoke it.
Marijuana should be legalize and treated just like any other tobacco product. The administration is just too dumb to realize what it is missing out on (tax revenue) by not legalizing and taxing marijuana.
i agree next to you 100% it a lil more expensive where i live, but whatever, its still affordable. i dont even think its gonna net a difference if they legalize it, people are gonna blaze whether its legal or not
There are pros and cons for the legalization of dope. I suppose the biggest claim from those who want it legalized is that it would muffle the criminal production and dealing of the substance. Personally, I think that having the 2 legal drugs, tobacco and alcohol are ample. These two drugs alone cost most nations in the world absolute fortunes contained by health care from both, road accident death from alcohol, crimes including murder, rape, robbery, domestic violence, bashings, etc.. I find it bad enough have to worry about drunks driving vehicles on our roads and highway without having to also worry just about people floating along under the influence of weed. We have ample brain-challenged people in our society without allowing more to massacre their brain cells. I feel that really strong education programs are mandatory to persuade youg people never to start taking any drugs, especially the so-caled "recreational" or "party" drugs. These things are wrecking our society.
