Heck no!I'm a law abiding citizen and I respect those who want to help make the world a safer place for others.My only concern would be possibly them getting hurt or killed on the job.I'm protective of those I care about and the dangers of the job would worry me.

You know who becomes cops? Guys who were pricks in highschool and weren't smart enough to do anything except maybe get shot someday and get a cool funeral.
Only in the sense that there is a greater chance he could cross paths with the wrong person on the wrong day - and never make it back home.....and then I would be sad.
If it requires a uniform than yes. I've always heard ppl say that men in uniforms are bad news. I never paid much attention to it until I started noticing a trend. All of my friends dating someone in a uniform (not just law enforcement) have met alot ofobstacle along the way...eventually splitting up. Coincidence? I have no clue.

For myself, I'd just avoid them because I already have a preconceived notion about ppl in uniforms...let alone law enforcement, maybe because they seem too cocky.

Yes, because of my family background. My mom was married to an LAPD officer who beat her for 10 years, until she packed up and escaped. Their relationship began before he was a cop, and she says he was completely different then, clean-cut, an ethical person, had his stuff together. After going into the force, he got into drugs, had affairs, and (of course, the worst) began the domestic violence. I'd never date someone in law enforcement. Not only is it tons of work to stay a good (or even neutral) person, you're exposed to the seedy underbelly of society all of the time. I wouldn't want that stress to carry over into our home. Choose a different career!
Not at all before I got married I dated and lived with a man for quite a while who was a NY State trooper. It was nerving at times because of the danger factor that comes with the job but I had no problems with it. I also dated (in my younger years) a Marine LT. that was hard because he was away so much but other than that NO PROBLEMO!! I actually took the police exam and missed it by 2 points.
Maybe alot of women plan on breaking the law and don't wan't to be arrested by thier man. :)

God, no I would not mind at all. I love guys in Law Enforcement. I don't know what it is. Maybe because they willingly put themselves in danger every day. So brave. And a man in uniform? Don't even get me started.

Hell no. My bf is a fireman which obviously isn't law enforcement as such but it still involves the same feelings of worrying about him getting hurt. Not sure why you asked the question but I think you'll find women love men in uniform!

Oh my God. Policemen are incredibly hot. They have the hot navy blue uniform, the cuffs, the utility belt like Batman who is also really hot.

Aside from the fantasies, women love feeling safe which is something a policeman can provide.
No, as a matter of fact, I'm going to be working with law enforcement someday. So I'm sure I'll end up marrying someone in law enforcement. Men in uniform are so sexy too... It's nice to fantasize about being handcuffed!
It seems to be that the whole men in uniform is stereotyped for having alot of 'lady friends' alot of women think that men in law enforcement are players. i think it's because those guys are 'heros' in a way, rescuing the damsel in distress in a way. I'm exxagerating a little. In my city, we have alot of cops and firemen that are in the bars alot and have slept with a good number of women. So i think that nice girls don't want to be just another girl. I happen to think that men in uniform are incredibly sexy!
I personally don't - before I was married I dated a CT State Trooper - but not every woman can. I think the inherent dangers of the job put off many women. Being a very strong independent person myself I never overly worried about what could happen but then again I wasn't married to him nor had children with him. That right there sheds a whole new light on how you feel about the job.
