question for those who supports the death penalty?
Why kill murderers to show that murder is wrong? Just so you know, i'm for the death penalty, i of late want to hear your opinions.

Well, we stipulation to free up some prison space anyway. But seriously, I really have no qualms with the death cost except that it's not enforced enough. I know that death is scary and adjectives, but I think public lashings would really change peoples minds about committing crimes, and I do believe it would be more potent in the long term.
So we should rape rapists? Steal from Thieves? Set fire to arsonists? What about Attempted Murder? Should we try and attempt to murder them?
The death penalty is a punishment for a crime. They're not being murdered, they're man punished. They're having their life taken away because they made the decision to run the life of someone else.

I support the death penalty, an eye for an eye, if someone took a relations member, co-worker, friend from me from an act of violence, capably why not the death penalty then? Your aphorism that his life is more important than the life he took? So sitting surrounded by a 10x10 cell with a tv, recreation and 3 meals a daytime is punishment? Most people who work in offices work surrounded by cubicles that are 6x6 and have to pay for their meals. He's living a better natural life than those homeless people and those on welfare from my tax dollars. Prisons are over crowded anyways. death cost is called "population control" and that's my final answer!

We don't kill murderers to show that murder is wrong. We execute murderers as punishment for murdering. Edit: RejectedZipper, that's not a doomed to failure idea.
I support the death cost, but I think it's messed up to do it as "retribution." I mean, seriously. If you kill someone, they're late. They don't care. The only people who suffer are the ones who loved the individual you killed, and they're usually innocent. Think about it. How messed up is it that a grieving parent would say, "You kill my son/daughter, so I think you should die." They are essentially saying, "I think your parents should step through exactly what I have been going through." Kind of messed up. I think that empire convicted of a serious crime should have the choice between life in prison short possibility of parole and the death penalty. They can decide whether they'd close to to die on their own terms or whether they'd like to spend the rest of their time in prison. (Please record that I think people in prison should enjoy to earn what they consume... they should have to work to pay for their meals, housing, and medical charge. It's not okay for a convicted felon to get cable TV while a person who is working 60 hour weeks can barely salary rent.)
Its not to show its wrong its punishment and justice being served.
